During the course of my research for this project, I have discovered many musical terms with french origin. Here is a list I have put together of the terms I have found. Most of these terms are from Old French.
Brilliante - brilliant (shining, sparkle)
Chamber - chambré (private room)
Comme - similar, like
Doux - sweet or soft
Dynamics - dynamique (power)
Détaché – detached, separated
Étude - study
Expressive - press out
Glissando - glissant (glide, to slip, slide)
Joyeux - joyful
Legato - smooth, connected
Peu - little
Suite - line, row (succession)
Symphony - symphonie (musical composition)
